Present: Susan Coultrap-McQuin, John Thoemke, Rose Marie Ley, Sean McGoldrick, Glen Peterson, Denise Schlake, Jim Grabowska, Mark Johnson, Lynne Weber, Yueh-Ting Lee, Scott Johnson

1. Welcome and Introductions

2. John Thoemke provided a brief overview of the purpose of this sub-meet and a description of some of the major topics the committee has addressed in recent years.

3. Sean McGoldrick presented an update on the “Project Prioritization Process Pilot Proposal” (“5P”) that was developed by the Facilities Prioritization Task Force during the 2002-03 academic year, and was reviewed by this sub-meet through the course of its development.  At this point, the process is underway, with proposed projects being submitted through administrative units to facilities management. 

4. Discussion of likely topics for this sub-meet to address this year.  Possibilities include:
• Review progress of strategic priority task forces that began work last year, including soliciting reports from task force members as needed.
• Review of Academic Excellence strategic priority work and connection to Academic Master Plan
• North Central Accreditation
• Review of updated Facilities Master Plan (based on input from University community and revision process conducted last year.)
• Proposal to identify a set of benchmark institutions to provide a consistent framework for comparison and aspiration as the planning for MSU’s future proceeds.
