Approved Minutes
March 4, 2004
Present: Dick Liebendorfer, Johnson Afolayan, Gretta

1. We approved minutes from 2/12/04.
2. We discussed the proposed Intermediate & Advanced writing course
proposals. Dick will discuss some concerns we have with them based on
the general education guideline #9. (Course proposals 192, 193)
3. We discussed proposed Visiting Writers course proposal #
118. Ron will talk to the registrar’s office about the issue
raised by guideline #8. Our concern is that under Category 6, it
says 2 courses? But this would only provide one credit? Tabled
for clarification of procedural matters.
4. We approved the Mass Communications Class for 4 credits.(CP 57)
5. We discussed the chemistry package dealing with Chem
104,105,106. (CP145). Liebendorfer moved, Handke seconded
approval. We need the form that changes the course number of 105 to 104
and approved the new course 106.
6. We need to check with Academic Affairs and the Registrar’s office to
ensure that the W designator is being used in its intended manner.
