Faculty Improvement and Sabbatical Committee
Minutes
The FIG and Sabbatical
Committee met at 11:00 a.m. on September 27, 2002 in CSU 219A to review FIG
applications. Members present
were Joy Joyner, JoAnna Mink, Claudia Pragman, Peg Ballard, Becky Schwartzkopf,
Mary Ann Lee, and Rosemary Krawczyk.
The committee reviewed
26 applications for FIG applications.
The number of applications by college were as follows:
Allied Health and Nursing had 6; Arts and Humanities had 4;
Business had 3; Education had 3; Library had 1; Science, Engineering and
Technology had 4; and Social and Behavioral Sciences had 5.
We are scheduled
to meet with the administration at the Sub Meet and Confer on October 4,
2002 at 10:30 a.m. in CSU 219A.
We plan to discuss the guidelines for FIG grants with the administration.
When the guidelines were changed this year, a part about allowing
applications for the past summer’s activities was omitted from the guidelines.
In the past such applications had been allowed and we want
to know if this should still be the case.
